Responsibilities

• Manage development and delivery of high performance, innovative, scalable and robust e-Commerce platforms and related business applications
• Maintain effective development process and improve it according to the latest industry standards
• Grow and motivate outstanding engineering team of experts in building new generation e-Commerce solutions
• Resolve engineering and organizational risks and problems
• Maintain and improve effective communication between a distributed engineering team, cooperative vendors and clients
• Perform strategic planning, risk analysis and department management
• Conduct employee performance evaluation and career planning

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience in running and being responsible for development teams of over 50 developers and QA engineers
• Track record of delivering complex engineering projects for large corporate clients from presales to release in production
• Proven experience in establishing effective development process in big distributed teams
• Excellent understanding of Application Lifecycle Management in general and Agile/SCRUM principles and practices in particular
• Knowledge of latest approaches to project management, best practices and trends with their strengths and weaknesses
• Excellent engineering and organizational problem solving skills
• Good entrepreneurial skills and strong intention to build great teams
• Excellent strategic planning skills in combination with ability to effectively focus and prioritize
• Proven experience in recruiting top talent, growing, motivating and retaining them
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise software development
• 3+ years of project/program management on a senior level
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English

What Would Be a Plus

• Experience in e-Commerce platforms and solutions
• Distributed caching solutions or IMDG
• A thorough understanding of OOP/OOD
• Experience working with relational databases
• Experience in Cloud Computing solutions
• Experience in designing, documenting, and driving consensus around software architectures within your own teams and with your customers
