We are looking for Senior DevOps Engineer to assist in developing and upkeep the applications and cloud infrastructure. This role encompasses understanding and applying DevOps methodologies, emphasizing automation, deployment, and issue-tracking systems. A significant part of the role will be supporting the implementation of cloud infrastructure in Google Cloud and facilitating the migration of applications to Google Cloud.
Essential functions
Responsibilities
- Ensure migration of GPC application and services to the Google Cloud Platform
- Assist in the development and maintenance of reliable system infrastructure for GPC applications
- Extensively use Google Cloud Platform for various tasks
- Implement monitoring and alerting tools to ensure application performance and reliability
- Collaborate with the development team to detect and resolve issues
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of Google Cloud
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Terraform and Github Actions
- Knowledge of basic monitoring and alerting tools
- Ability to assist in the design and implementation of reliable system infrastructure
- Familiarity with issue-tracking systems and applications
Would be a plus
- Knowledge of site reliability engineering practices
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices
- Interest in capacity planning and performance tuning
