We are seeking a Strong Backend Engineer with solid experience in Python, and ideally a background in Big Data technologies. You will join a dynamic engineering team working on multiple backend projects while also supporting and optimizing existing infrastructure.
While this role is primarily backend-focused, Big Data experience is a major plus. You'll contribute to designing and implementing scalable backend solutions and play a key role in improving our data processing capabilities.
Essential functions
Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Python
Build and optimize data pipelines using Spark
Support and evolve existing systems and infrastructure
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and clarify requirements
Ensure high-quality code through testing, documentation, and peer reviews
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments
Work independently to manage tasks and meet project deadlines
Qualifications
Proficient in Python
Solid experience with Apache Spark
Experience building scalable backend systems and APIs
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Would be a plus
Experience working with Big Data frameworks and distributed systems
Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proven experience in clarifying and gathering requirements from stakeholders
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Familiarity with project management tools and Agile/Scrum methodologies
