Max Martynov joined Grid Dynamics in 2008 with a mission to establish and lead their High-Performance Computing practice. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for defining and executing the company's technology strategy, driving innovation through R&D, performing architecture and technology consulting for clients and overseeing technical marketing activities. During his tenure at Grid Dynamics, Max has been leading engagements with a number of major technology and retail companies, including Microsoft, Macy's, Kohl's, and JCPenney. Over the last decade, his focus evolved from HPC and scalable distributed platforms to Digital Transformation, Cloud, BigData, DevOps, Microservices architecture, and AI.

He also had management responsibility the multi-billion dollar digital channel P&L and for the annual enterprise $300M Technology Investment portfolio. Currently, Mike is acting as both an angel investor and strategic advisor for numerous early-stage AI-enabled startups, specifically focused on critical components of the ever-evolving retail customer journey.
