Java Developer
We’re looking for a Java Software Engineer to join a fast-paced, cross-functional team responsible for building and maintaining high-performance payment systems for a global financial leader. If you're passionate about writing clean, scalable code and enjoy working with modern technologies in a collaborative environment—this role is for you.
Essential functions
Develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend services and APIs
Contribute to system enhancements and performance improvements
Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
Write secure, scalable code using Java, J2EE, Spring, and RESTful APIs
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies
Ensure production readiness and help troubleshoot operational issues
Contribute to documentation and deployment processes
Identify opportunities for automation and technical optimization
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in backend development using Java technologies
Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE, Spring (Boot, MVC), Hibernate, and REST APIs
Solid experience with databases (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions
Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, Artifactory
Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams
Strong communication and collaboration skills
A passion for building reliable, high-quality software
Would be a plus
Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (Splunk, Humio) is a plus
Experience with large-scale enterprise applications
Exposure to cloud environments and AI-enhanced monitoring
Hands-on mindset with a drive for continuous learning
