Senior Data Analyst
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst who will be actively involved in the design, development, troubleshooting, debugging, evaluation, support, and enhancement of data engineering solutions. You will leverage existing system architectures to expand the capabilities of these applications, with a strong focus on optimizing data pipelines.
Essential functions
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to assess source systems, identify foundational data sources, determine transformation needs, create appropriate data models, and document the design and specifications
Develop systems and datasets by applying software engineering best practices, fundamental data management principles, contemporary distributed systems
Create, maintain, and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into data storage systems
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data pipelines, databases, and related systems
Demonstrate passion for quality and productivity by use of efficient development techniques, standards and guidelines
Produce technical documentation to support data delivery development
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a Data Warehouse environment and experience with Data integration/ETL of large and complex data sets
Expertise in performance tuning and scaling of BI systems
Proficiency in SQL and database technologies such as AWS Redshift and expertise in performance tuning and scaling in a DWH environment
Data modeling skills such as Star/Snowflake schema design for DWH
Interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of scripting for automation - Python
Effective analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn fast, work independently with little supervision and deliver on time quality products
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
