Senior Automation QA Engineer
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a new team focused on replacing mock tests with fully automated tests running on live environments. This is a great opportunity to shape testing strategy from the ground up, implement modern tooling, and drive Shift Left Testing practices in a fast-moving environment.
Essential functions
Replace existing mock tests with automated tests on live environments
Automate current manual testing processes
Design and maintain clear, reusable, and reliable test cases
Ensure test coverage across both SSR and CSR environments
Collaborate with developers and DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Debug test failures and reduce test flakiness
To respect the overlap of 4h with US CT (up to 8 pm CET)
Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and end-to-end testing
Proficiency in TypeScript
Solid knowledge of Jest or Vitest
Experience with test case design, maintenance, and documentation
Familiarity with API mocking and interception techniques
Strong understanding of Shift Left Testing principles and a proactive approach to early-stage testing
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team
Would be a plus
- Some experience with writing tests for GraphQL/ExpressJS servers
- Some experience with writing tests for React UIs
- Some reporting frameworks
- Using APIs directly to debug/grab mock data
