Quality Engineer - C++
The Back End development team builds applications which drive one of the world’s most trafficked websites for one of our clients. In this role, you will partner with Back End developers to test new functionalities on projects which directly support the client's renowned creative team, as they reach millions of customers in over 80 countries around the world.
Essential functions
- Demo Mode SWA Support:
- Execute test plans for the Demo Mode SWA, including functional, regression, and content verification.
- Identify, document, and track defects/bugs.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure they are resolved correctly.
- Collaborate with the 3P agency to ensure the quality of their deliverables.
- Assist with the deployment of new versions of the Demo Mode SWA.
- Monitor releases and perform post-release verification.
- Growth Campaign Support:
- Configure growth campaigns according to specifications, including targeting criteria, payload, and experiment settings.
- Develop and execute test plans for growth campaigns, ensuring proper functionality and desired user experience.
- Assist with the release of growth campaigns, following established processes and procedures.
- Verify that campaigns are deployed correctly and that metrics are accurately tracked.
- Troubleshoot issues related to campaign configuration and deployment.
- Release Management:
- Assist with the refresh of the Demo Mode SWA and growth campaigns.
- Monitor releases and perform post-release verification for both SWA and growth campaigns.
- Work with the team to address any issues that arise during the release process.
- Follow established release processes and procedures.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for testing procedures, release processes, and identified issues for both SWA and growth campaigns.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with both internal teams and the 3P agency.
- Participate in regular meetings to provide updates and discuss progress.
- Escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Other:
- Adhoc tasks as required by the project.
Qualifications
C++: Demonstrated proficiency in C++ development.
Web Development: Strong understanding of web development principles, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Testing: Experience with software testing methodologies, test case design, and bug tracking.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team and with external partners.
BS/BA or equivalent degree in computer science or similar(preferred).
