Senior DevOps Engineer

Essential functions
· Organize and maintain GitLab CI pipelines to manage the full application lifecycle.
· Lead the onboarding of new projects.
· Deploy microservices to Kubernetes clusters using GitOps practices, along with Azure Cloud integration, KEDA scaling, and property management through Consul.
· Implement and manage project infrastructure using Terraform.
· Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, and Groovy.
· Manage monitoring with New Relic and Prometheus, including log filtering, APM setup, and New Relic Agent configuration, alongside Kubernetes and Azure integration.
· Develop Python script to replace consul-template as part of the migration to ConfigMap-based properties.
· Create and maintain a set of linters for application configurations to prevent errors and enhance stability during deployment.
· Establish and improve testing stages for code coverage, security analysis, and browser performance using Checkmarx, Sitespeed.io, and SonarQube.
· Implement retry logic in Bash for processes requiring Azure authentication as a core solution applicable to every job and stage.
· Integrate existing GitLab pipelines and Kubernetes infrastructure with security solutions such as GitLab Secret Detection, Snyk, and Twistlock/Prisma Cloud, enhancing code quality and overall security.
· Develop infrastructure solutions using GitLab, Azure Cloud, and Bitrise for mobile development and integrate with Azure Key Vault.
· Continuously enhance integration, testing, and deployment processes for applications within GitLab, Azure Cloud, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications
· Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related
· At least TWO (2) years of experience in the job offered or at least TWO (2) years of experience in the following:
1. Deployment of software solutions across physical, virtual, and cloud environments, following Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches.
2. Creating and supporting complex pipelines (GitLab CI and Bitrise.io), including matrix approaches, master-child configurations, and dynamically generated pipelines to automate and optimize every stage of application development.
3. Microservice deployments across numerous Kubernetes clusters, following the GitOps practices (Argo) integrating with a network service mesh, cloud resources, external configuration management services and scaling solutions (Keda).
4. Using New Relic to establish a fully observable build, test, and deployment process.
Two years of experience must include at least ONE (1) year of experience in the following:
5. Creating secure and optimized images (Trivy) and develop Helm charts for applications and middleware components.
Two years of experience must also include at least six months of experience in the following:
6. Vulnerability and threat scanning solutions (Twistlock).
