Senior Software Engineer

Essential functions

·      Lead and manage a team of frontend developers to design, develop, and maintain user interfaces for e-commerce and logistics solutions.

·      Implement and maintain essential frontend infrastructure, including linting, testing rules, pre-commit configurations, and performance optimization strategies.

·      Oversee the architecture and implementation of reusable microsite components supporting both legacy and new with React, Next, and Gatsby.

·      Drive the resolution of development blockers, from local development to lower environment testing.

·      Participate in code reviews, technical grooming, and TDD documentation.

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, designers, and QA, to deliver software solutions on time.

·      Conduct client demos, manage project estimations, allocate resources, and review project scope to meet client expectations.

·      Provide post-production customer and user support for the developed application.

·      Integrate third-party services such as Gigya for authentication, Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality, and various payment gateways into the frontend architecture.

·      Analyze and investigate production issues and incidents, elaborate steps to reduce risk, and improve application quality metrics.

·      Various worksites—job may allow for remote work, job may involve relocation to anticipated or unanticipated locations across the United States, including client sites and Grid Dynamics’ offices throughout the United States and/or company headquarters located in San Ramon, CA.

Qualifications

·      Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.

·      At least TWO (2) years of experience in the job offered or at least TWO (2) years of experience in the following:

1.         JavaScript, HTML, CSS

2.         Frontend framework: React

3.         API: REST

4.         Postman

Two years of experience must include at least ONE (1) year of experience in the following:

5.         Integration of third-party services Adyen, Algolia, Amplience, OneTrust, and Google Tag Manager into frontend applications

6.         UI Extensions: MUI, Swiper, Zoom,

7.         Hybris platform
