Accounting Intern

Essential functions

• Assist in the preparation, verification, and posting of accounting entries for Moldova and Romania.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Assist with the preparation of statutory reports, tax returns, and other compliance documentation.

• Help reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.

• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing required documentation.

• Assist in monitoring and following up on outstanding invoices and payments.

• Collaborate with colleagues in Moldova and Romania to ensure timely and accurate information exchange.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (mandatory).

• Proficiency in Romanian and English (spoken and written); knowledge of Russian is an advantage.

• 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred (internships or junior roles count).

• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software (experience with ERP systems is an advantage).

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a cross-border environment.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting.

• Ability to work from the office (center of Chisinau) for at least 6 hours per day.

Would be a plus

• 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred (internships or junior roles count)

• Experience with ERP systems
