DevOps Architect – Azure Cloud
We’re looking for a Architect level DevOps engineer to lead a critical transformation project: migrating on-premises applications to microservices hosted on Microsoft Azure. In this role, you’ll drive the modernization and containerization of .NET applications, implement cloud-native DevOps practices, and work hands-on across deployment, configuration, architecture and automation.
Please note that it is a short-term 3-4 months project.
Essential functions
Lead the end-to-end migration of legacy on-premise applications to Azure-based microservices architecture.
Design and implement DevOps pipelines for CI/CD, containerization and infrastructure automation in a cloud-native environment.
Provide technical leadership across the team on deployment, configuration, architecture and system optimization.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, propose solutions and define technical implementation strategies.
Modernize and containerize large-scale .NET applications using best practices for scalability and maintainability.
Work hands-on with Azure services including AKS, Azure Storage, Service Bus, App Config, App Insights, KeyVault, Azure SQL, ADF, and Azure Databricks.
Conduct code analysis on brownfield systems, identify areas for improvement, and suggest scalable refactorings.
Ensure system reliability, performance, and security through robust monitoring and logging using Azure-native tools.
Coordinate with the team to break down features into tasks, delegate work and support technical decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects and product owners to ensure alignment.
Support usage of pre-built Databricks images and scale Azure Databricks for performance-critical workloads.
Qualifications
Technology leadership in services like AKS, ServiceBus, Azure Storage, Azure App Config, App Insights, KeyVault, Azure SQL, ADF, Azure Databricks;
Hands-on experience with deployment, configuration, development and architecture
Ability to work with the client, understand the requirements, make proposal, break down into tasks and distribute within the team
Comfortable with brownfield projects, analysis and suggestion of improvements for actual code running on Databricks
Experience with .NET project modernization and containerization for large projects
Experience with modernization and migration from on-premises to cloud (especially with cross-db and linked servers)
