Senior Big Data Engineer

Essential functions
Architect and build scalable data pipelines with Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka, ensuring adherence to best practices for performance and scalability
Analyze large datasets to extract trends and insights using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques
Lead the optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data processing workflows to enhance performance and reliability
Implement and oversee data quality and security measures, ensuring compliance and addressing issues proactively
Lead the deployment and management of big data solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure
Evaluate and implement cloud-native tools and practices for improved performance, scalability, and security of big data solutions
Qualifications
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
Deep experience with big data frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
Deep experience with data storage solutions including HDFS, Apache Hive, and NoSQL databases
Experience with any of the cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Advanced SQL skills and experience with databases like MySQL, Postgres, Redis, or Apache Cassandra
Confidence in CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Would be a plus
Strong experience with Cloud platforms
