Site Reliability Engineer

Essential functions

Infrastructure & Automation

• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Support the developer experience by delivering reliable, self-service infrastructure.

• Perform upgrades, patching, and operational support for shared platform services.

Operational Support

• Serve as the go-to technical resource for infrastructure issues, incident response, and ongoing platform maintenance.

• Partner with developers to troubleshoot deployment and cloud environment issues.

• Monitor system health, performance, and cost efficiency.

Security & Governance

• Contribute to the design and rollout of a robust IAM policy framework that balances security with usability.

• Help implement a comprehensive GCP resource labeling strategy to support cost management, auditability, and lifecycle tracking.

Collaboration

• Work closely with engineers, data scientists, and security teams to support their infrastructure needs.

• Maintain clear documentation and internal wikis to enable platform adoption and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in an SRE, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure engineering role.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Strong understanding of infrastructure provisioning, networking, and identity/access management (IAM) concepts.

• Solid knowledge of CI/CD, monitoring, and troubleshooting distributed systems.

• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with multiple internal customers.

Would be a plus

• Experience writing Python scripts for automation or infrastructure tooling.
• Familiarity with GCP labeling/tagging best practices.
• Exposure to incident response or on-call practices in a production environment.
• Understanding of cost management in cloud environments.
