Senior Java Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team, contributing to the development and enhancement of mission-critical platforms with a focus on compliance, scalability, and modern architecture. You will work on cloud-native applications, API management, and real-time data processing. This role offers the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge initiatives including migration to Kong API Gateway and integration with Kafka.
Essential functions
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications within a microservices architecture
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies
Collaborate with engineering managers and cross-functional teams on product requirements
Enhance and support CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitHub
Work on the migration of the existing API gateway to Kong
Ensure compliance with open banking standards and implement SCA requirements
Integrate Kafka-based real-time data processing where required
Monitor application performance using Datadog and similar tools
Qualifications
Proven experience in Java development
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm Charts
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Proficiency in continuous deployment practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, ArgoCD, Github)
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog)
Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API development
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Availability to work on a full-time employment contract (Umowa o pracę)
Would be a plus
Experience with Kong API Gateway
Experience with Kafka for real-time streaming
Familiarity with open banking and Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) standards
