Staff/Lead Big Data Engineer

As part of a distributed team working across Europe and overseas, you will play a key role in designing, coding, and verifying data processing jobs using the latest Scala and Spark technologies. Your work will ensure that complex algorithms produce accurate statistics that are vital for strategic decision-making.
Essential functions
Developing and maintaining big data pipelines and infrastructure.
Ensuring data quality and the correctness of statistical algorithms.
Collaborating with a distributed team of leading big data engineers worldwide.
Contributing to the design and implementation of scalable data processing solutions.
Working with technologies like Kafka, Dataframe/SQL API, and various database engines.
Willingness to work up to 9 PM CET
Qualifications
Strong experience in big data development and infrastructure.
Proficiency in Spark and Scala.
Hands-on experience with the Hadoop ecosystem.
Experience with processing frameworks such as Kafka, Spark, Dataframes, and SQL API.
Familiarity with database engines like Oracle, Postgres, Teradata, or Cassandra.
Good understanding of distributed computing principles and patterns.
Would be a plus
DevOps and CI/CD skills for working with infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
Knowledge of Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, or analytics systems
