Senior .NET Developer

Essential functions

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team, including conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of excellence in software development practices.

• Develop and write high-quality, maintainable code for critical components, features, or modules of the software application using C#, while also contributing to the overall codebase and enforcing coding standards and best practices.

• Analyze and solve complex technical problems, including performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and system failures, across the full software stack. This includes working with product managers, designers, and partners on B2B integrations to define project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Refactoring and improving existing codebase to enhance maintainability, extensibility, and readability, while also identifying and addressing technical debt and legacy code issues.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, architecture diagrams, and best practices guides, to facilitate knowledge sharing, onboarding, and collaboration within the team.

• Ensure the overall quality and reliability of software products through continuous integration and rigorous testing practices, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, as well as promoting a culture of testing and quality assurance within the team.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in C# programming and OOP concepts

• Proven experience in delivering cloud-based software applications (AWS, Azure)

• Solid experience with .NET platforms and building robust, scalable web services

• Experience in REST API development and microservices architecture

• Proficiency in relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, ElasticSearch)

• Knowledge of ORM tools and modern data access technologies

• Experience with unit testing frameworks and writing comprehensive test cases

• Familiarity with asynchronous and parallel programming

• Competence in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing applications

• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, container-based technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and Git/GitHub workflows

• Understanding of software architecture and design patterns

• Exposure to front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, or React)

• Experience with messaging technologies (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or cloud-based equivalents)

Would be a plus

• Experience with Ruby on Rails

• Hands-on experience in AWS Lambda and serverless development

• Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems)

• Experience in system design and advanced software architecture patterns

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
