ML Engineer (Senior Technical Lead / Principal Engineer for AI Agent Development)
In this role, you will be part of the Value Added Services (VAS) Dispute Management Solutions team responsible for developing Verifi's B2B SaaS products and applications hosted in a secure data center.
VAS is focused on executing Visa’s merchant strategy, building stronger merchant & acquirer relationships, and increasing total merchant value by creating solutions that address complex and emerging market needs.
You will design and develop AI Agents in a multi-agent framework, work on agentic workflow management, and build scalable enterprise-grade applications.
Essential functions
Develop AI Agents within multi-agent frameworks
Contribute to agentic workflow management and tool development
Design, implement, test, and document software solutions
Build microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MySQL
Apply appropriate standards, processes, and tools throughout the SDLC
Troubleshoot and fix production and security issues
Participate in architecture design and reviews
Support deployments across development, staging, and production environments
Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with development requirements
Write and optimize database queries
Design and deliver highly scalable, high-performing applications
Produce detailed deployment documentation
Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or related field, plus 7+ years of experience
Strong experience with GenAI, LLM, AI Agent implementation & deployment
6+ years of Python for AI development
7+ years of Java & Java web applications for RESTful services
7+ years with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Maven
5+ years working with Kafka (event-driven programming)
Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, multithreading, concurrency
Hands-on practice with Test-driven Development
Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills
Fluent English
Would be a plus
Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, MVP, and other ML frameworks
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
