Engineering Operations Manager

We are looking for an Engineering Operations Manager to join our Engineering Management team and support the growth and development of our engineering organization. In this role, you will maintain close collaboration between the CTO, Delivery, HR, and Engineering teams, oversee mentorship programs, and ensure engineers continuously develop the skills needed for professional growth. You will drive the implementation of education programs, manage onboarding processes, and build strong engineering communities across regions. Additionally, you will work with other engineering managers to align staffing, hiring, and organizational needs with company objectives.

Essential functions

  • Build and manage the structure of Mentees and CTO Mentors.

  • Scale the EM org practices to CTO Mentors organization.

  • Collaborate with the Staffing team to staff mentees according to CTO Mentors guidelines, prior to pre-sales engagements, to streamline and de-risk the transition from pre-sales to delivery for projects.

  • Find solutions to dedicate more spare capacity for engineers into Business Development activities, which may include participation in Pre-Sales, Proposal Preparations, Case-Studies development, involvement in R&D projects, creation of marketing assets such as PoVs, Solution briefs, Demos, etc.

  • Build additional education materials, courses for Mentees to enhance productivity.

  • Provide regular reporting to CTO and EM orgs according to goals and KPIs defined for CTO Tech Leadership structure.

  • Propose and drive company processes adjustments to secure the CTO<>Delivery collaboration, work on the Policy making together with HR department.

Qualifications

  • English, upper-intermediate, or advance

  • Project management

  • Experience managing team of 40+ people

  • Negotiation skills, readiness to work with objections

  • Experience and hands-on experience with Google Sheets, JIRA, Google Slides, Data Analysis, BPMN

  • Wide knowledge of technologies (on the level of understanding and supporting discussions in the following areas: FrontEnd, BigData, Data Science, Mobile, Quality Assurance, DevOps, Java, etc.)

  • Be able to participate in late-hours meetings one to three times a week

  • Experience and desire to work based on KPIs or OKRs targets

  • Be able to go on business trips abroad a few times a year (from a few days up to a month)

Would be a plus

  • Experience working with BPML

  • Experience with BI tools (SuperSet, PowerBI)

  • Experience implementing transformations to the processes on the corporate level
