Ruby on Rails Engineer
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust web applications. A strong understanding of the Rails ecosystem, coupled with a commitment to writing clean, well-tested code, is essential for this role.
Essential functions
Develop, maintain, and scale applications using Ruby on Rails with strong expertise in MVC, Active Record, and Rails Engines.
Design and optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), ensuring efficient queries, migrations, and performance tuning; leverage Redis for caching.
Build and integrate APIs (REST, GraphQL) while collaborating with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
Apply TDD principles with RSpec/Minitest and ensure CI/CD best practices for reliable deployments.
Contribute to system architecture, driving secure and scalable solutions across services and microservices.
Write clean, maintainable code, participate in reviews, and troubleshoot issues across the stack in Linux/Unix environments.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Ruby on Rails engineer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in Ruby with deep understanding of Rails MVC, Active Record, and Rails Engines.
Hands-on experience building and integrating RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
Solid expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), SQL optimization, and Redis for caching.
Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and collaboration with frameworks like React or Vue.js.
Commitment to TDD with experience in RSpec/Minitest and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS
