Senior DevOps and Test Engineer – Networking & SDLC Automation
We're looking for a Senior Engineer in hybrid role that combines QA/Test Automation, DevOps (CI/CD, infrastructure, containerization) and Systems/Networking Engineering - to join a greenfield SDLC project, focused on building robust automated testing infrastructure for ATM – a complex networking and security software system.
This is a deep, hands-on role for someone who thrives in technical environments involving performance testing, networking protocols, CI/CD, and working across platforms (Kubernetes, bare-metal, cloud). You'll help shape a testing ecosystem from the ground up, using modern tools like Python, Rust, Pytest, Scapy, and Rio for CI/CD.
You’ll be joining a team of 3 engineers embedded with development teams, collaborating closely with the engineers who design and build the product.

Essential functions
Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for performance and correctness testing
Analyze ATM's source code and system design to identify testing requirements
Set up and manage diverse test environments including Kubernetes, bare-metal, and Cloud VMs
Develop and integrate CI/CD pipelines using Rio and GitHub for automated testing and release qualification
Collaborate with development teams to ensure test coverage and system reliability
Collect and interpret performance metrics, ensuring statistical confidence in test results
Contribute to cross-platform testing efforts (Linux, XNU; x86_64, arm64)
Qualifications
Experience in test automation or QA for systems software
Proficiency in Python (Rust experience a strong bonus)
Strong knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, IPv6, routing, NAT
Experience with tools such as Pytest, Scapy, and Wireshark
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Rio preferred, others acceptable)
Experience working with Linux-based systems and containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes)
Familiarity with source control (GitHub) and automated testing best practices
Ability to work 3–4 hours in PT timezone overlap
Would be a plus
Experience with network security protocols and concepts
Performance testing experience with tools like perfeval or similar
Knowledge of statistical analysis in the context of performance validation
Experience with cross-platform development and testing (arm64, aarch64)
Understanding of DevOps practices and infrastructure automation
Exposure to profiling and performance optimization techniques
