Senior Java Developer
Grid Dynamics is looking for a Senior Java Developer, to join our team in Belgrade or Novi Sad. This is a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale digital transformation, solve complex performance challenges, and directly influence the success of a major product launch.
Essential functions
Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team, including conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of excellence in software development practices
Write high-quality, maintainable code for critical components, features, or modules of the software application, while also contributing to the overall codebase and enforcing coding standards and best practices
Analyze and solve complex technical problems, including performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and system failures, through systematic debugging, root cause analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams
Refactoring and improving existing codebase to enhance maintainability, extensibility and readability, while also identifying and addressing technical debt and legacy code issues
Ensure the overall quality and reliability of software products through rigorous testing practices, including unit tests, integration tests and end-to-end tests
Qualifications
Strong experience with Java as the primary backend language
Hands-on knowledge of Spring Boot framework
Proficiency in writing and maintaining unit and integration tests
Solid understanding and practical application of Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Would be a plus
Previous experience contributing to enterprise-level projects or large-scale systems
