Senior Data Scientist
We are looking for a an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team and work on LLM focused projects.
Essential functions
- Develop internal libraries and tooling to support data transformation, sampling, metrics tracking, model evaluation, and analysis at scale.
- Design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines using Spark / PySpark, SQL, and other big data tools.
- Apply applied statistics and sampling techniques (e.g., stratified sampling, bootstrapping, experimental design) to ensure robust and reliable evaluation of models and data-driven insights.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, researchers, and product teams to design evaluation and sampling methodologies and iterate on service features.
- Write clear and comprehensive technical documentation on methodologies, evaluation frameworks, and findings.
Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Solid background in applied statistics, probability, sampling theory, and experimental design.
- Hands-on experience in large-scale data processing with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop, with a strong background of working with SQL, Spark/PySpark and Python and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines and MLOps concepts and tools.
- Experience with data engineering tools and concepts, data pipeline development, data model design, and aggregation strategies, in support of automated data products.
- Experience working with large language models (LLMs)
- Strong communication skills, ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders, write clear documentation, present results.
- Prior research experience or publications in ML/AI or related conferences is a bonus.
