Senior Full Stack Developer

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Senior Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java and React to join our engineering team. The project supports the delivery of key engineering components across three strategic program areas: Platform Distribution, Asset Portal, and Advanced Search. These initiatives focus on building core media supply systems for a global technology leader and transitioning operations from a third-party provider to internal teams.

The work involves developing cloud-based, microservices-driven platforms, modern web applications, and advanced search capabilities. Engineering delivery is managed in close collaboration with client stakeholders, while the client leads product strategy, architecture, and system integration.

Essential functions

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java on the backend and React on the frontend.

  • Build scalable microservices and APIs to support platform distribution and asset management workflows.

  • Develop and enhance frontend and backend components for modern web applications.

  • Contribute to advanced search features, including query optimization and performance improvements.

  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient data modeling and performance.

  • Deploy and maintain applications in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Follow best practices for automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into deliverable solutions.

Qualifications

  • Frontend: React, Angular, or modern JavaScript frameworks

  • Backend: Java

  • Data: Relational and NoSQL database modeling and optimization

  • Infrastructure: Cloud-based infrastructure (prefered AWS)

  • Search: Integration with search engines (OpenSearch, SOLR, or similar)

  • Established automated testing and CI/CD practices

  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, mentoring engineers, assigning tasks, and driving delivery outcomes.

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to translate high-level requirements into actionable tasks

Would be a plus

  • Experience with digital media formats or media supply chain workflows is beneficial
