Java Software Engineer
We are looking for a Java Developer to be in a project that involves contributing to the completion of a comprehensive rewrite of an existing service. The primary focus will be on enhancing observability and reliability through the implementation of metrics, alarms, dashboards, and logging. The role also includes writing and maintaining both unit and integration tests to ensure system stability and performance.
In addition to finalizing the core service updates, there may be opportunities to collaborate on new product initiatives, depending on team priorities and project timelines.
Essential functions
- Designing and implementing server-side logic for backend services
- Developing and maintaining APIs
- Database design, management, and optimization
- Monitoring server health and performance
- Troubleshooting and debugging application issues
- Monitoring test coverage, cover newly developed features and code with unti and integration tests
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Java and Springboot Framework
- Extensive experience with Microservices Architecture
- Understanding of RESTful API design principles
- Expertise in SQL
- Has worked on CI/CD pipelines
- Integration and unit testing experience
- Ability to work independently (part of the team but to be independent)
Would be a plus
- Familiarity with Kafka consumer configuration
- Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, ECR
