Java Full Stack Developer
We are seeking a versatile, curious, and energetic Software Engineer to join a high-performing, multi-functional development team. In this role, you will design, build, and test scalable software solutions that support global-scale platforms impacting millions of users worldwide. You will work in an agile environment, leveraging modern technologies to build secure, reliable, and high-performance systems.
This position offers the opportunity to work on products that influence internal engineering standards while contributing to real-world financial technology innovations.
Essential functions
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Build and enhance user interfaces using React or Angular
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs using JSON/XML
Design and manage complex data structures and data processing workflows
Work with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, MySQL, or similar
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Scrum teams
Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning
Contribute to code reviews, testing, and continuous integration pipelines
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects impacting application functionality
Support the adoption of new technologies and contribute to architecture improvements
Learn and apply emerging technologies to enhance scalability, performance, and reliability
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
3+ year of software development experience
Experience in backend development using Java/Spring Boot
Basic experience in frontend development using React or Angular
Working knowledge of REST APIs and data formats (JSON/XML)
Familiarity with relational databases
Understanding of Agile development methodologies
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices
Strong problem-solving skills with a growth and learning mindset
Ability to work under guidance and ask thoughtful questions to improve solutions
Would be a plus
Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field
Experience with Kafka or other streaming platforms
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Knowledge of test-driven development and automated test frameworks
Experience in the payments or financial services industry
Understanding of system scalability, security, and high-availability architectures
Strong business awareness and ability to align technical solutions with business needs
