Computer Vision Engineer
Are you passionate about bridging the gap between advanced Computer Vision and real-world robotics? We are looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to join our specialized Robotics team to build high-impact solutions for industrial automation.
In this role, you will develop 3D pose estimation systems that allow robots to interact with their environment in high-precision scenarios—from identifying power plugs to enabling the automated disassembly of EV batteries. You will work alongside experienced engineers to adapt state-of-the-art foundation models (like Nvidia FoundationPose) into production-ready robotic modules.
Essential functions
Design and implement computer vision pipelines for industrial robotics use cases
Work with 2D/3D vision, including cameras, depth sensors, and calibration setups
Develop algorithms for object detection, pose estimation, tracking, and scene understanding
Integrate vision components with robotic systems and motion planning pipelines
Optimize models and pipelines for performance, accuracy, and reliability in production environments
Collaborate with ML engineers, robotics engineers, and product teams from concept to deployment
Debug vision-related issues in real-world, noisy, and imperfect conditions
Qualifications
Strong experience in computer vision and image processing
Solid knowledge of Python and/or C++
Hands-on experience with OpenCV and modern CV/ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow)
Experience with camera systems, calibration, and sensor data
Understanding of classical CV techniques as well as deep learning–based approaches
Comfortable working with real-world data where edge cases are the norm
Ability to turn research ideas into reliable, maintainable software
Would be a plus
Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).
Background in 3D Vision, point cloud processing, or multi-view geometry.
Experience deploying models on Edge devices or within industrial automation environments.
