QA Automation Engineer (Java)
Are you a Quality Engineer who thrives on the intersection of manual exploration and robust automation? We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our team, focusing on the reliability and performance of high-traffic backend microservices.
Essential functions
Hybrid Testing: Seamlessly switch between manual exploratory testing and automated script development for RESTful microservices.
Framework Development: Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and suites using Java, TestNG, and RestAssured.
CI/CD Integration: Ensure test stability within the Continuous Integration pipeline, proactively identifying and fixing flaky tests.
Test Strategy: Author detailed test plans and designs for functional and integration testing of complex web services.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers in a fast-paced environment, taking full ownership of specific product components and quality gates.
Qualifications
Strong Java Foundations: Proven experience writing clean, maintainable automation code in Java.
API Testing Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with RestAssured (or similar HTTP clients) and a strong understanding of web service architecture.
Database & OS Skills: Proficiency in SQL and comfort working within Unix environments.
CI Mindset: A clear understanding of how automated testing integrates into a DevOps/Continuous Integration lifecycle.
Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent context switching and evolving priorities.
