Join our client, a leading global financial institution, as a Mid-Level Full Stack Java Developer working on a transformative project to enhance structured notes trading capacity.

About the Role:

As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will contribute to delivering new functionalities that will substantially increase the number of trades processed by traders. You’ll be involved in greenfield development, working on a modern tech stack to build scalable, reliable solutions that deliver real business impact. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your expertise in investment banking concepts while working on innovative financial technology.

Essential functions

  • Develop and maintain backend components using Java and the Spring framework to support new trading functionalities.

  • Build engaging, responsive web interfaces with TypeScript and modern web technologies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy scalable solutions in containerized environments on Kubernetes (OpenShift).

  • Contribute to the data modeling, rule-based enrichment, and workflow automation efforts to streamline the structured notes lifecycle.

  • Support continuous integration and delivery processes to ensure rapid, reliable releases.

  • Engage with internal users across front and middle office teams, including traders and treasury, to gather requirements and deliver impactful features.

  • Learn and understand the complexities of structured notes trading and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

  • Mid-level experience with Java and Spring framework in backend development.

  • Familiarity with frontend web technologies, especially TypeScript.

  • Experience working with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes (on OpenShift).

  • Strong curiosity about investment banking concepts and structured notes trading.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and scalability.

Would be a plus

  • Knowledge of databases such as Oracle and MongoDB
