Senior Golang developer
We are looking for a Senior Golang Engineer to join a major modernization initiative for one of the world's most innovative cloud-native banking and payments platforms. You will be part of a high-impact squad responsible for migrating mission-critical financial functionality into a high-performance, distributed architecture.
Essential functions
Design and develop scalable microservices in GoLang, moving away from legacy structures toward a modern distributed architecture.
Solve complex problems related to distributed systems, including idempotency patterns, integrity queues, and cross-team data consistency.
Implement advanced monitoring using Spans and Tracing, creating alerts to prevent production issues and ensuring the reliability of high-volume financial transactions.
Manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, and oversee deployments via Argo and Codefresh within a Kubernetes environment.
Drive a culture of documentation using Swagger and architectural diagrams, collaborating with DevEx teams to align with global platform standards.
Proactively sponsor and mentor less experienced engineers, conduct thorough code reviews, and onboard new talent to the team.
Qualifications
Extensive professional experience in Golang, with a deep understanding of its core principles and performance optimization.
Strong background in designing microservices capable of handling massive request volumes and high availability.
Hands-on experience with AWS services, Docker, and Kubernetes (scaling pods, log management, config maps).
Advanced knowledge of Relational databases and the ability to architect Non-Relational persistence layers for specific data domains.
Proficient in creating comprehensive unit, integration, and End-to-End (E2E) test suites covering entire business journeys.
Would be a plus
Experience with payment services, ledger systems, or banking metadata patterns.
Familiarity with Argo, Codefresh, or custom CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Goalkeeper).
Experience with distributed tracing and complex alerting logic in high-load environments.
Deep understanding of specific patterns like Integrity Queues or advanced idempotency logic.
