Java Full Stack Developer
The ideal candidate will be a Full Stack Java Developer with strong experience in Java/J2EE application development and modern frontend development using React (18+). The candidate will contribute across the entire software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, solution design, development, testing, and deployment. This role requires strong object-oriented programming skills, the ability to work independently with minimal direction, and collaboration with global teams of developers, SMEs, and architects to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Essential functions
Analyze business requirements and design scalable, robust application solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.
Build and enhance microservices-based applications in a containerized environment.
Develop reusable components, services, and utilities following best coding practices.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.
Create maintainable, scalable, and high-quality code along with unit tests.
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical documentation.
Deliver features end-to-end, from design through deployment and support.
Collaborate with global teams including developers, architects, SMEs, and product stakeholders.
Troubleshoot issues and support applications across all stages of the SDLC.
Contribute to continuous improvement, code quality initiatives, and engineering best practices.
Work towards becoming a subject matter expert for the application and platform.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Full Stack Java development.
Strong experience with Java (Java 8 or above; Java 17 preferred).
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
Strong frontend development experience using React (18+), HTML5, and CSS.
Experience building RESTful services and web applications.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
Experience with databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
Experience with Hibernate or similar ORM frameworks.
Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes in containerized environments.
Experience with GitHub, JIRA, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile environments.
Would be a plus
Experience working in payments or financial services domain.
UI/UX design understanding and web page design experience.
Experience with JBOSS Web Server or similar environments.
Exposure to modern open-source web development tools and frameworks.
Experience contributing to large-scale enterprise or global applications.
Experience mentoring or leading developers.
Experience with performance optimization and scalability improvements.
