Senior Backend (Python/C) Engineer

Essential functions

• Proficient in C++ and Python for high-performance simulation and development

• Develop and maintain high-fidelity simulations of mechanical systems and environments using simulation platforms

• Validate and fine-tune physical parameters, joint constraints and kinematic behaviors to ensure real-world accuracy

• Collaborate closely with robotics, machine learning and software teams to test and optimize algorithms

• Document simulation logic, workflows and maintain version-controlled simulation assets

• Contribute to continuous improvement of simulation tools, pipelines and best practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with strong proficiency in building scalable and maintainable systems

• 2+ years of experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, or equivalent 3D/physics-based simulation platforms.

• Strong understanding of physics-based simulation, 3D modeling, and scene creation.

• Hands-on experience with designing and operating event-driven systems and high-performance microservices

• Proficiency in Python programming; experience with C++ is required for performance-critical components

• Experience with CAD systems and integration of CAD models into simulation environments

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows

• Experience with Blender or similar 3D modeling tools

• Familiarity with robotics frameworks and sensor emulation

• Agile mindset with a track record of fast learning and cross-functional collaboration

• Strong communication skills for working in multidisciplinary teams
