Senior Mobile Engineer (Android)

Essential functions

• Architect and build robust features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose following MVVM principles.

• Build and maintain Server-Driven UI frameworks that consume JSON schemas to render native components dynamically.

• Optimize build processes and dependency management using Gradle.

• Work with GraphQL to minimize data transfer and improve app responsiveness in low-connectivity areas.

• Implement complex event tracking and performance monitoring using mParticle and Dynatrace.

• Manage app configurations and feature rollouts through LaunchDarkly.

Qualifications

• Expert in Kotlin and Java, with a deep understanding of modern Android frameworks and popular Android devices.

• Expert understanding of Android SDK, including Activity/Fragment Lifecycle, Services, Push Notifications, and Location Services.

• Experience with native Android app development, integrating REST APIs, push notifications, and multithreaded functionality.

• Proficiency in multi-threading, memory management, networking, caching, performance optimization, localization, and security in Android apps.

• Experience with modern Android build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, test-driven development (TDD), and automated integration tests.

• Familiarity with deployment and UI testing using Android emulators is a plus.

• Proficient with Agile methodologies.

• Familiarity with the Google Play Store submission process.

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or a related field.
