Experience - 5- 7 years
We are looking for a skilled Quality Engineer / Automation Tester with strong hands-on experience in Java, Selenium, and API automation using Rest Assured. The ideal candidate should have experience in building robust automation frameworks, executing automated test suites, and ensuring high-quality delivery across web and API applications.

Essential functions

  • Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Java & Selenium.

  • Automate API test cases using Rest Assured.

  • Develop and execute test scripts for UI, API, regression, and functional testing.

  • Identify test cases for automation and improve test coverage.

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to analyze requirements.

  • Log defects, track issues, and ensure timely resolution.

  • Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

  • Perform code reviews of automation scripts and ensure best practices.

  • Maintain documentation for test cases, test plans, and automation frameworks.

  • Work in Agile/Scrum environment and participate in sprint ceremonies.

Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in Java.

  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.

  • Good experience with API automation using Rest Assured.

  • Solid understanding of TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Git.

  • Good knowledge of automation frameworks (hybrid, page object model, data-driven frameworks).

  • Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating automation into pipelines.

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.

  • Good debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Would be a plus

  • Experience with Postman, Swagger, or API tools.

  • Knowledge of Docker, Jenkins, or cloud environments.

  • Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber).

  • Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter).
