Senior DevOps (GCP) Engineer
Grid Dynamics is looking for a Senior DevOps (GCP) Engineer for the US client in the retail industry.
Essential functions
Act as a go-to expert by answering technical questions and supporting cross-functional teams
Design, implement, and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
Develop and execute automated performance testing strategies to ensure system scalability
Implement and maintain automated chaos testing to improve system resilience
Build and enhance distributed tracing solutions for deep system observability
Continuously improve DevOps processes, tooling, and best practices
Qualifications
Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Understanding of Terraform and Terraform Enterprise (TFE)
Knowledge of GCP IAM, including service accounts, roles, and permissions, is frequently needed to address user queries
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Understanding of cloud networking, firewall rules, and security best practices
Familiarity with various database types, including SQL and NoSQL
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash
Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Ability to support USA working hours (9AM-5PM EST)
Would be a plus
Familiarity with tools like Looker for creating dashboards and monitoring cloud resources
Understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost management
Skills in creating and maintaining technical documentation, such as ADRs (Architecture Decision Records)
