Big Data Architect
The project focuses on streamlining and harmonizing data across systems through a defined architecture, governance framework, and technical design, aligned with business and functional requirements.
Currently in the implementation phase, the role is focused on delivering the roadmap, including data platform setup, integration, and operationalization.
Essential functions
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanisms for the Data Science platform to consume data from One-Data and publish data products back into it.
Design and implement data flows between the Data Science platform and One-Data (both ingestion and data product publishing)
Define and enforce data integration patterns aligned with the overall data platform architecture
Collaborate with data engineering, BI, and governance teams to ensure consistency with the defined schema and standards
Ensure data privacy, security, and access management requirements are met across integrations
Contribute to the implementation of the target architecture and technical design defined in the project
Support operationalization of data pipelines, including monitoring, performance, and reliability improvements
Align solutions with defined KPIs, success criteria, and non-functional requirements (NFRs)
Participate in tool selection and optimization across data platform and ML ecosystem
Work closely with stakeholders to translate business and functional requirements into scalable ML/data solutions
Qualifications
Microsoft Fabric (Platform)
Microsoft Purview (Governance)
PowerBI (Visualisation Layer)
Azure Cloud
EntraID / ServiceNow (Security)
DBT (Data Tools)
Would be a plus
Experience with ML architecture and building production-grade ML systems (MLOps)
Hands-on experience with ML/AI solutions on Azure and/or Databricks
