Senior Business Analyst
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst/Product Owner for an American publicly traded consumer retail company that sells kitchenware and home furnishings. It is headquartered in San Francisco, California (United States).
Essential functions
Requirements Gathering: Collecting, analyzing, and documenting requirements to create detailed technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
System Analysis: Analyzing workflows and system interactions to improve performance, particularly in search relevancy, merchandising, or data ingestion.
Bridge gap: Facilitating communication between stakeholders, Product Management, and Engineering/QA teams.
Process Improvement: Utilizing data-driven insights to optimize business processes and technical workflows.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in business analysis, technical analysis, or product ownership.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of software development processes (SDLC), APIs, and system architecture.
Data Analysis: Proficiency in SQL for complex query writing is often required to analyze data and define technical specs.
Agile Methodologies: Experience with Scrum, Jira, and Confluence for backlog management (stories, refinement, prioritization).
Domain Expertise: Solid experience with AI tools (like Claude/LLMs), e-commerce platforms, or retail industries is highly valued.
Communication: Advanced (C1) English level is required for acting as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Would be a plus
Experience with product growth strategies (conversion, engagement, retention)
Familiarity with analytics platforms, experimentation tools and modern product management toolkits
Experience working with ads and/or e-commerce platforms, particularly in user acquisition
Hands-on experience with CRM tools
