Staff DevOps Engineer
We are looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer to take charge of our cloud infrastructure. We need a true GCP native, someone who breathes Google Cloud, Terraform, and Kubernetes. If you are comfortable managing robust CI/CD pipelines, optimizing cloud costs, and taking ownership of cloud security and IAM, this role is for you.
Essential functions
Cloud Infrastructure: Architect, troubleshoot, and manage resources natively on GCP (deep focus on IAM, service accounts, networking, and firewall rules).
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision and maintain infrastructure heavily utilizing Terraform and Terraform Enterprise (TFE).
Containers & Orchestration: Deploy, manage, and scale applications using Docker and Kubernetes within the GCP ecosystem.
CI/CD & Automation: Build, maintain, and troubleshoot deployment pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions. Automate daily operations using Python or Bash.
FinOps & Observability: Drive cloud cost optimization to reduce wasteful spend, and utilize tools like Looker to create monitoring dashboards.
Architecture & Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
Qualifications
GCP Expertise: Proven, hands-on commercial experience with Google Cloud Platform.
IaC & Orchestration: Solid proficiency in Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Core Systems: Deep knowledge of Linux administration and core networking fundamentals.
CI/CD: Practical experience configuring and maintaining pipelines in Jenkins.
Working Hours: Strict availability to work the US EST shift (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST).
Would be a plus
Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost management.
Knowledge of various database types (SQL and NoSQL).
Experience with Looker for observability and dashboards.
