Software Engineer – Java / Kotlin (Android & Backend)
We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong experience in Java or Kotlin to build backend services and Android client components that support Android ecosystem security. The role involves developing scalable services, APIs, and tools used for application analysis and threat detection. Engineers will work across Android client code and backend systems within a client–server architecture. Experience with Android SDK and SQL is preferred.
Essential functions
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java/Kotlin.
Build and enhance Android client components using the Android SDK.
Develop and consume RESTful APIs within a client–server architecture.
Implement features related to application analysis and threat detection in the Android ecosystem.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, product, QA) to deliver high-quality solutions.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
Work with databases using SQL for data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
Ensure application security, reliability, and scalability across both client and backend systems.
Participate in design discussions and contribute to technical architecture decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Engineering, or a related field.
Strong programming experience in Java and/or Kotlin.
Hands-on experience with Android SDK and Android application development.
Experience in building backend services and RESTful APIs.
Good understanding of client–server architecture.
Knowledge of SQL and working with relational databases.
Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Basic understanding of security concepts, preferably in mobile or application security.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
