Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP, Observability & AI Automation)
We are looking for a highly capable Senior DevOps Engineer to join a specialized engineering project team (5-6 people). This role goes beyond standard infrastructure maintenance, as your primary focus will be automating critical cloud security compliance, driving operational excellence, and integrating cutting-edge AI automation into our incident response workflows.
If you want to move away from standard ticket-crunching and focus on establishing robust SLOs, distributed tracing, and building intelligent automation, this is the place to be.
Essential functions
Security & IAM Automation: Implement Workload Identity Federation and Secret Manager in GCP to eliminate manual key rotations and prevent expiration-related outages.
Advanced Observability: Leverage Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki to establish Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and map Critical User Journeys (CUJs). Build data-driven dashboards connecting system performance with financial metrics.
Distributed Tracing: Implement Open Telemetry (OTel) to integrate distributed tracing and logging for end-to-end journey visibility and reducing Mean Time To Recovery (MTTR).
AI-Driven Workflows: Identify processes suitable for AI automation and develop intelligent workflows (leveraging Agent Skills) to enhance incident response and system reliability.
Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD: Architect and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes, while maintaining deployment pipelines via GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
Qualifications
Cloud & IaC Mastery: Deep commercial experience with GCP (Identity, Networking, Security) and Terraform (including Terraform Enterprise).
Containerization: Strong hands-on knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Monitoring & Logging: Proven experience with the modern observability stack (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus) and a solid understanding of Linux and networking.
CI/CD Expertise: Proficiency in building and maintaining pipelines with GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
Scripting: Strong scripting skills (Python or Bash) for automating routine tasks.
Would be a plus
Experience with deterministic automation tools like Ansible or Rundeck.
Hands-on experience building AI agents or skills (using Gemini, Copilot, or Anthropic), or a strong eye for identifying processes that should be automated using AI.
Understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization strategies.
Familiarity with Looker for advanced dashboarding.
