Senior Java Developer with Elasticsearch
We are looking for a skilled and motivated professional to join a dynamic team working on a high-impact, AI-driven initiative. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a greenfield solution aimed at enhancing digital experiences in a complex enterprise environment. You’ll work alongside a growing team of experts, helping shape the architecture and execution of a critical system under an accelerated timeline. Essential functions
Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of a new enterprise-level solution from the ground up
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and technical direction
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and decision-making processes
Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of the solution
Proactively identify potential issues and drive continuous improvements
Support integration efforts and alignment with broader business objectives
Maintain clear and consistent communication with team members and stakeholders
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the project
Qualifications
Strong experience with Java development in a production environment
Hands-on experience with search technologies, including Elasticsearch, Apache Solr & LucidWorks
Proficiency with Spring Boot for building scalable backend services
Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Understanding of distributed systems and data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD workflows
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Would be a plus
Previous experience working with Grid’s Magellan solution
Basic knowledge of frontend frameworks such as Angular or React
Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and their integration into enterprise systems
