Delivery Architect – Azure Databricks / AKS / .NET Modernization
We are looking for a Delivery Architect with deep hands-on experience in Azure Databricks, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and related Azure Data Services, as well as a strong background in .NET application modernization.
Important Note:
This is not a DevOps role. While infrastructure knowledge is welcome, this position requires technology leadership, architecture design, and hands-on delivery across data, cloud, and application layers.
We are working with an existing data lake, focusing on optimization and modernization — not greenfield deployment.
Essential functions
Lead solution architecture and technical delivery across cloud data services and applications
Design and implement scalable data pipelines and compute layers using Azure Databricks
Guide the modernization of large .NET projects, including containerization strategies
Collaborate closely with clients to gather requirements, define solutions, create proposals, and translate into actionable work items
Analyze existing systems (brownfield) and recommend improvements, especially in Databricks-based workloads
Contribute to cloud migration strategies from on-premises to Azure, including cross-database dependencies and linked servers
Qualifications
Architect or Senior Tech Lead level with proven delivery experience
Strong hands-on expertise in:
Azure Databricks (including performance tuning, working with pre-built images for scaling)
Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Azure Data Services: ADF, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Key Vault, App Config, Service Bus, App Insights
.NET application modernization & containerization at scale
Clear understanding of brownfield environments, ability to evaluate existing systems and drive improvements
Experience leading teams: breaking down work, assigning tasks, ensuring delivery quality
Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
Prior experience with cloud migrations (especially complex legacy-to-Azure transitions)
Would be a plus
Terraform or IaC knowledge (not required, but helpful for infrastructure coordination)
Familiarity with data security and compliance in Azure environments
