Senior Software Engineer (Java)

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team in a new project. This new one is focused on hardening, modernizing, and optimizing several core services within the customer and e-commerce ecosystem. Key initiatives include strengthening login logic for system-wide OTP rollout, modernizing Order Injection Service using Cloud Run and Terraform, improving e-commerce data loader performance, enabling better disaster recovery for 3PD integrations, enhancing cloud networking via VPC peering, and reducing Cloud Run application startup times.

Essential functions

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services
  • Implement and support REST APIs for core platform functionality
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and cross-functional teams
  • Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of services

Qualifications

  • +6 years of experience developing backend services using Java

  • Solid knowledge of RESTful API design and integration

  • Experience working with cloud-native or distributed systems

  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Would be a plus

  • Experience optimizing Cloud Run performance and autoscaling

  • Understanding of authentication/authorization flows (OTP, session management)

  • Exposure to Terraform for infrastructure provisioning

  • Knowledge of order management systems or e-commerce integrations

  • Performance tuning of Java microservices
