We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer (Web) to join our team. This project focuses on the development, modernization, and quality assurance of our client web applications built with React, supported by a BFF layer that connects the frontend experience with backend services and third-party integrations.

The Manual Web QA Engineer will support web quality assurance activities across customer-facing eCommerce flows, ensuring functionality, stability, usability, integration quality, and release readiness across browsers, devices, environments, and business-critical scenarios.

The role requires strong experience in manual web testing, test case design, defect reporting, regression testing, environment validation, API/BFF validation support, and close collaboration with frontend developers, backend/BFF teams, automation QA, product teams, and other QA stakeholders.

Essential functions

  • Perform manual testing of web applications built with React

  • Review business and functional requirements and identify testing scope

  • Design, prepare, maintain, and execute test cases, checklists, and test scenarios

  • Execute functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing

  • Validate web application behavior across browsers, devices, operating systems, and responsive breakpoints

  • Test key eCommerce flows such as account, login, registration, cart, checkout, payment, order management, search, product details, promotions, loyalty, and user profile flows

  • Validate frontend behavior, UI states, form validation, error messages, redirects, session handling, cookies, and browser storage

  • Validate integration between React frontend, BFF layer, backend APIs, and third-party services

  • Use browser developer tools to inspect network calls, console errors, request/response payloads, cookies, local/session storage, and frontend issues

  • Use Postman and similar tools to support API and BFF validation

  • Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, expected/actual results, screenshots, videos, logs, network details, and supporting evidence

  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers, BFF/backend developers, product owners, automation QA, DevOps, and other QA teams

  • Support release validation and certification activities across QA, Stage, and Production-like environments

  • Prepare and manage test data required for web test execution

  • Participate in test planning, estimation, daily coordination, defect triage, and release readiness discussions

  • Provide clear QA status updates, risks, blockers, and testing progress reports

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of web QA processes, test coverage, regression scope, and release quality

Qualifications

  • +6 years of experience in Web Manual QA Engineering

  • Strong understanding of web testing principles, methodologies, and best practices

  • Experience testing modern frontend applications built with React

  • Good understanding of frontend behavior, browser compatibility, responsive design, session handling, cookies, caching, redirects, and client-side validation

  • Experience with functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing

  • Ability to analyze business, functional, and non-functional requirements and translate them into clear test scenarios and test cases

  • Experience creating, maintaining, and executing test cases in test management tools such as qTest

  • Hands-on experience with cross-browser and responsive web testing

  • Ability to validate web applications across different browsers, screen sizes, operating systems, and network conditions

  • Experience with defect reporting, defect lifecycle management, and clear communication of issues to development teams

  • Experience using browser developer tools for troubleshooting frontend issues, console errors, network requests, cookies, storage, and performance indicators

  • Familiarity with API testing using Postman

  • Ability to validate frontend integration with the BFF layer and backend services

  • Understanding of request/response behavior, status codes, payload validation, API contracts, and error handling

  • Familiarity with tools such as Charles Proxy or similar network inspection tools is a plus

  • Experience preparing and managing test data for web testing scenarios

  • Good understanding of release validation, environment certification, and production readiness checks

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams

  • ISTQB Foundation Level knowledge or equivalent practical understanding is considered a plus
