Senior Python Engineer
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer to join our team with strong CI/CD and DevOps expertise. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of software engineering, DevOps, and machine learning infrastructure. You will focus on building reliable tooling, automation, and orchestration pipelines to accelerate ML workflows across teams.
Essential functions
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support ML development and deployment workflows.
- Develop automation and tooling around the GitHub ecosystem (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Ensure supply chain security best practices are integrated into workflows.
- Collaborate with software engineers and ML researchers to streamline engineering velocity.
- Troubleshoot and improve orchestration processes for ML systems.
- Participate in weekly stand-ups (Mondays, US time zone).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python with solid software engineering practices.
- Strong Bash scripting skills.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems, with a strong preference for GitHub Actions.
- Proven track record in DevOps practices (infrastructure automation, deployment pipelines, observability).
- Ability to balance responsibilities across SWE and DevOps tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ML infrastructure or ML-specific CI/CD workflows.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with a major cloud provider, especially GCP.
- Experience with Terraform a plus.
- Contributions to open-source tooling or infrastructure projects.
