Senior Data Engineer (GCP)

Yerevan, Armenia

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust ELT pipelines while driving a critical migration effort from legacy data providers to a modern enterprise data platform. You will be heavily hands-on with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), orchestrating complex data flows and ensuring seamless data integration to fuel our recommendation engine.

Essential functions

  • Architect, develop, and maintain efficient ELT pipelines utilizing Kubeflow.

  • Execute and support the migration of massive datasets between data platforms, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.

  • Collaborate closely with machine learning and software engineers to optimize the data architecture for a new, high-visibility recommendation model.

  • Write clean, scalable, and highly optimized code in Python and SQL for data transformation and processing.

Qualifications

  • Active GCP Certification (Mandatory requirement).

  • Extensive, hands-on professional experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Strong programming expertise in Python and advanced proficiency in SQL.

  • Deep experience with data pipeline orchestration tools, specifically Kubeflow or Apache Airflow.

  • Solid working knowledge of Google BigQuery and Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.

  • Proven track record in data pipeline development, data integration, and complex migration projects.
