Senior Software AI Engineer

Wroclaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Warsaw, Poland

We are seeking a Senior Software AI Engineer to join a high-impact, AI-augmented modernization initiative for a leading global asset management firm. In this role, you will help modernize a mission-critical estate of 149 production applications using cutting-edge agentic AI coding workflows, specification-driven analysis, and automated remediation pipelines. The portfolio is predominantly C# / .NET and Python, with Angular, WPF/WCF frontends, SQL Server backends, and internal APIs. Working alongside senior London-based consultants, you will build and drive an advanced AI pipeline designed to improve existing codebases, lift automated test coverage past 70%, clear security vulnerabilities (CVEs), and migrate services to the cloud via GitHub Actions.

Essential functions

  • Spec-Driven Insights & Agentic Diagnostics: Apply cutting-edge spec-driven approaches and agentic AI tooling (Copilot agent mode, internal client LLMs, Cursor, Windsurf, or Claude Code) to analyze code health, perform deep-dive assessments, and triage defects at scale.

  • Vulnerability Remediation: Validate and fix pre-identified security vulnerabilities, execute dependency upgrades, and resolve SAST/DAST/CVE findings to pass quality gates into modern delivery platforms.

  • Test Engineering & Quality Hardening: Build out functional, integration, and end-to-end test suites using AI tooling, replacing ineffective tests with high-confidence automated suites to reach 70%+ coverage.

  • Pipeline Extension & BAU Scaling: Enroll additional portfolio services into the standing agentic analysis and remediation pipeline while continuously refining the pipeline's automation patterns.

  • Extended Architectural Analysis: Perform deep architectural evaluations for flagship codebases exceeding 500k LoC to formulate targeted analysis and refactoring strategies.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner directly with London-based onsite consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to validate findings, prioritize backlogs, and align on remediation goals.

Qualifications

  • General Engineering & Legacy Experience: Strong general software engineering background with proven ability to navigate, understand, and contribute production-quality changes across under-documented legacy codebases.

  • Agentic AI & LLM Proficiency: Demonstrated, hands-on experience using LLMs in software engineering settings to drive agentic coding workflows, generate tests, and remediate non-trivial code at scale.

  • Testing Discipline: Genuine test engineering mindset—writing high-confidence tests by default and differentiating between raw line coverage and true functional confidence.

  • Autonomy & Communication: High autonomy with a pragmatic, get-it-done attitude; fluent written and spoken English with clear technical communication capabilities.

  • Location: Based in Poland, comfortable working in a hybrid model (3 days per week in-office) with regular collaboration across Poland and London teams.

Would be a plus

  • Core Tech Stack Experience: Production experience with C# / .NET (.NET Framework to .NET 6/8 modernization, WPF/WCF replacement) and/or Python.

  • Spec-Driven & Pipeline Tooling: Exposure to specification-driven AI tools (e.g., JUXT's Allium or GitHub's spec-kit) or experience building repeatable code-analysis pipelines.

  • Security & CI/CD: Practical experience with CVE triage, dependency upgrades, SAST/DAST tools, and enterprise CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy).

  • Domain Knowledge: Prior experience in financial services, asset management, or other heavily regulated enterprise environments.
