Robotics Developer
We’re looking for an experienced Robotics Developer to support highly automated production environments and join our team at Salzgitter, Germany. Joining our team you will be able to support machine vision and quality inspection work within highly automated production environments. The scope centers on camera-based inspection and test-gate systems used to validate part or product quality inline, with a focus on reducing classification errors and improving the accuracy of accept/reject decisions.
Essential functions
Design, implement, and optimize machine vision and image-processing solutions for inline quality inspection
Configure, calibrate, and maintain camera-based inspection systems and end-of-line test gates
Analyze inspection and defect data to classify error types and drive down false reject / false accept rates
Support integration of inspection results into traceability systems for batch- or unit-level quality tracking
Collaborate with production and automation engineers to embed vision solutions into existing manufacturing lines
Report findings and recommend data-driven improvements to inspection accuracy and process reliability
Qualifications
Industrial image processing and machine vision
Camera-based quality inspection
Inline inspection systems
Test gates and end-of-line testing
Error classification and defect analysis
False reject / false accept analysis
Traceability systems
Data analysis in a production environment
Would be a plus
Experience in battery cell manufacturing or comparable highly automated production facilities is a plus
