Senior Java Developer (hybrid)
We are seeking Senior Java Developers who are passionate about solving complex global challenges at scale. In this role, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team building secure, scalable, and high-performing systems that power mission-critical services for a vast customer base. If you have deep experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and modern containerization tools, this is a unique opportunity to make a global impact.
This is a hybrid role based in the Warsaw office (3 days onsite / 2 days remote).
Essential functions
Design and build software systems that serve a wide range of users including merchants, B2B, and government solutions.
Contribute to internal standards for scalability, security, reusability, and product quality.
Develop and maintain RESTful services using Spring Boot and Hibernate.
Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio for containerization, orchestration, and service mesh.
Create well-structured, testable, and performant code that adheres to secure coding practices.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and DevOps to refine requirements and design scalable solutions.
Participate in and lead code reviews, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Work in agile squads, building next-generation technologies including real-time payments, BNPL platforms, and transaction services.
Contribute to technical documentation and mentoring team members.
Qualifications
6+ years of backend development experience.
Strong expertise in Java, Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
Experience with Kafka, SQL/NoSQL databases, and distributed system design.
Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Git, Maven, Jenkins.
Understanding of secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP).
Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
Would be a plus
Experience building and deploying cloud-native services with a focus on quality and scalability.
Experience working closely with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and Architecture.
