Technical Writer
We are looking for a Mid/Senior Technical Writer to create and maintain API documentation for various projects. All of those projects are related to the decomissioning of the Oracle ATG to the new Microservices.
Essential functions
Create and maintain API documentation, including RESTful services defined via OpenAPI specifications and Java code annotations.
Develop and maintain Pub/Sub documentation to clearly describe message flows, event contracts, and use cases.
Write and manage Backstage TechDocs using MkDocs, integrating with microservice documentation at scale.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and developer experience teams to gather information and understand technical concepts.
Maintain consistency in tone, structure, and clarity across platform documentation.
Continuously improve and structure internal developer documentation for readability, discoverability, and long-term maintainability.
Qualifications
Proven experience writing technical documentation for APIs, ideally using OpenAPI and working with Java annotations.
Familiarity with Pub/Sub systems (e.g., Kafka, Google Pub/Sub) and documenting event-driven architectures.
Hands-on experience with content authoring in Markdown and site generation with MkDocs.
Understanding of microservices architecture and modern CI/CD workflows.
Ability to read and understand Java code, with strong analytical and communication skills.
Experience using Git for version control and working within engineering teams.
